System-Builders delivered a comprehensive structured cabling infrastructure across a six-floor commercial office, enabling high-speed connectivity, future scalability, and seamless integration with enterprise IT systems.
Project Scope & Budget
Total Budget: $185,000 – $240,000 CAD
Cable Drops: ~420 Cat6A
Floors Covered: 6
Timeline: 6–8 weeks
Project Narrative
The engagement began with a detailed site audit led by Rahul Verma (Infrastructure Consultant), who assessed workstation density, data demand, and future expansion requirements. A comprehensive quotation was prepared, including cable counts, pathway design, and rack configurations.
Negotiations were facilitated by Chloe Bennett (Client Advisor), who aligned the scope with budget expectations through value engineering while maintaining system performance and scalability.
Engineering deliverables prepared by Victor Alvarez (design engineer) included
Floor-by-floor routing diagrams
MDF/IDF layouts
Rack elevation and labeling standards
Following contract execution, all insurance certificates, WSIB documentation, and safety compliance forms were submitted by Maya Singh (Compliance Coordinator).
Execution was managed by Marcus D’Souza (site supervisor), who coordinated installation teams across multiple floors. Work included horizontal and vertical cabling, patch panel termination, and rack assembly.
Material procurement was phased through structured POs to align with installation progress. Task management systems tracked daily output and milestones.
Change orders were processed for additional cable drops due to tenant expansion, ensuring flexibility without disrupting timelines.
